Un nuevo logro en mi Carrera de Bartender Profesional: Sommelier Certificado/New step in my Bartender Career: Certified Sommelier!!!!

Ayer fui a recoger los resultados de mi examen de Sommelier y obtuve 83 sobre 100 puntos, A en Testeo a ciegas, y aprobado el servicio en mesa!!.

La clase de Sommelier fue de mas de un anio de duracion, en ingles obviamente, demas de estudiar Francia, espania, italia, germany, portugal, Norte america, new zealand, Australia, south africa, y Sur america, cientos de testeos a ciegas, y cientos de degustaciones de las mejores areas de vinos del mundo.

Las clases fueron en Nevada Partners, escuela de formacion que pertenece a los miembros del sindicato de Bartenders y gastronomicos, y la clase fue pagada con un porcentage de las horas trabajadas de miles de hermanos y hermanas del sindicato.

Ahora a seguir estudiando, y aprendiendo cuanto mas se pueda!!

Yesterday i went to get my grades on my Final test of the Certified Sommelier Class I took for the past year at Nevada Partners. I passed with 83 out of 100 points, and A on Blind tasting and approving the Service test too.

The class was held at Nevada Partners wich is the Official School of the Local Bartenders 165, and Local Culinary 226.

It was over a year round class, studying countries as France, spain, Italy, Germany, Portugal, Nort America, South America, South africa, Australia and New Zealand just naming a few.

It was paid on a little percentage of the annual wage of brothers and sisters!!, available for everyone.

Now I am a Cerified Sommelier!!

I am a new Citizen of the United States of America, 05/14/2010.

I want to share with my friends and family, that yesterday, May the 14th, I took my oath for my American Citizenship, so now I can say that I am an American......!!!

On April 14, 2010, The USBG Nevada Chapter got new officers for its chapter, so this means that now I am a former officer!!.

I served for a period over two years doing the best I could help the members of the Nevada chapter, I learned a lot and enjoyed every aspect of it, but time came and life keeps on.

I am glad and proud of being a member of the USBG, the same way Pichin Policastro showed to me!, so Thanks Pichin!!....

Today we have a new great cabinet officers like Armando R, as President and Raymond Williams aka Ray-Ray as General Secretary!!!, so lets thanks God for this blessings.

Still being a member with a lot of Pride as soldier as well.

The Famous "86" in the American Bar

En el Bar americano hay un numero que tiene mucho valor, un numero que en la juerga del bar se usa para hacer saber a la gente que el servicio se termino, cuando uno este en mala situacion de tomar, o situaciones que llevan al bartender o persona a cargo a rehusar servicio a algun cliente o invitarlo a irse.
Este es el famoso 86. Trabaje en una pizzeria del barrio La Jolla, San Diego; California que tiene en su menu, el lugar para dejar sus quejas: PO Box 86, Guam!!!.

Clientes que han tomado demasiado o vienen de otros bares con mas que suficiente alcohol, o que se comportan mal, ya sean peleas, malas formas de expresarse, etc. reciben el llamado 86, que significa out!!, no mas....

Espero les sea de utilidad, ya que es bueno saberlo.....y cuando algun desubicado esta en frente uno le pregunta: What is the number between 85 and 87?, el respondera ....86, y el cantinero le dira: You got it!!....

Ok, I am 86 now.
